Ferry Morse receives 'Supplier of the year award' ftom Lowes as well as Tractor Supply

 

Ferry Morese received the overall supplier of the year award as supplier to the Lowes company. Award Comments made by Eric Sowder, SVP Outdoor Living included the following        

Ferry Morse has done an outstanding job in keeping up with the trends in edibles. Ferry Morse has experienced double digit comp growth and far exceeded sales to last year. 

       

Ferry Morse has begun testing a new seed program on Lowes.com that allows customers to special order seed kits online and have them shipped direct to their home. We launched the new program this spring with 9 new items and intend to expand the selection to the full line. 

       

Ferry Morse has created Display will have the Ability to Collapse and Allow for Flexibility of Size. This display will be much easier to set at store level and eliminates many parts to assemble. We went from over 60 parts to assemble to only 6. The average store used 1.5 hours to assemble the old display and our new display can be assembled in less than 10 minutes. With the continued pressure for hours in the stores this will save valuable payroll.

        

Ferry Morse has also made a substantial investment in multiple new shipping facilities to ensure stores can be replenished in a shorter amount of time to limit any out of stocks. The new facilities include: Lorain, OH., Macon, GA. And Medford, OR.  

      

Ferry Morse has initiated a program for the reduction of packaging material and will have their fleet of company vehicles converted to Hybrids by the end of 2010. 

Ferry Morse Company also was rewarded the 2009 Seasonal and Hardware Division Vendor of the Year for Tractor Supply.
