JIFFY A/S Denmark 50th Anniversary

JIFFY A/S located in Ryomgaard Denmark will celebrate its 50th Anniversary this year. The factory started operation on September 29, 1959, soon exactly 50 years ago. The development has been one of continuous innovation. The Jiffy pot produced at the Ryomgaard location today are still very like the original pot coming off the manufacturing lines in 1959, however the rapid development in horticulture has had Jiffy following along to keep in tune with the demands of modern horticulture and nursery companies worldwide. 

 

Pots made today at the Ryomgaard factory, are made to fit most of the modern automation found at Greenhouse operations worldwide. The Autopot is a Jiffy container specially developed to work smooth in pot dispensers. A new development at the plant is the introduction of the Jiffy Speedypot, basically the original proven Jiffypot dressed up in a colourful  'jacket' to make it suitable for the modern requirements of the retail sector. The pot carries a PLA sleeve which is printable, making it very suitable to customize, sporting the logo's and favorite colours of companies who, like Jiffy has over the past 50 years, believe in sustainability, finding a better environmental solution of growing bedding plants, veggies and herbs. The Speedypot is certified 100% compostable.

 

We at Jiffy believe the next 50 years at the factory in Denmark will see the development of more innovative products. The original Jiffypot however will probably live on for a long time to come now that it has seen a renewed interest globally,

 

Jiffy AS in Ryomgaard Denmark has defenitely contributed in the history of making the Jiffypot one of the most famous and successful plant containers in the world.
